Strange fuel pump issue today

Hi all,

Just purchased a new car and all seems well - except

Upon going to work this morning, my misses heard the fuel pump running continuously. The car was, immobilised etc but somehow turned itself on.

After getting home to find a dead car, breaking in and connecting a spare battery the fuel pump came in again... Weird eh?? I put the key in the ignition and turned the ignition on and off and hey presto pump off? Hasn't done it since but to save the mucking about in the evening, might just leave the car unlocked

Any ideas of a cause anyone?

Change the relay
