as not to many people know that i have a 4.0ltr chim thought i would just update you on the car,i bought it to be a stop gap between me rebuilding the wedge but as you might imagine i couldn't leave it alone, i have had a replacement hood the old one had rotten stitching to the window and was generally well past its sell by date so having had that done and a good interior valet i thought it would be nice to do some mechanicals ,the engine box etc. is all good pulls very well no noises etc. but the handling was a bit off so some new bushes later that is now all good, i have also uprated the brakes to drilled and grooved all round with new pads makes quite a noticeable difference, so while that was being done i got a set of gas gold pros with standard weight springs and fitted them the old bilsteins had no leaks but felt they could be improved so far so good, the only other problem was the heater only worked on the full setting so off with dash top modify the fixing while i was at it to velcro and wing nuts new resistor pack for the blower feed all good, lastly i serviced the engine changed the fluids and fitted a set of estorils which i think look well with the colour.
