Speaker Deal at Halfrauds

Replaced the tiny Pioneer rear speakers in the car at the weekend with some 6 x 9 inch Infinity speakers from Halfrauds, normall £99 now £49.

Fantastic and not too difficult to fit even for a mechanical pigmy like me!

Having spoken to Metaman, who recently sorted out my alarm problem, he said that the single biggest improvement in sound was usually to install 6x9 speakers, boy was he right!

Are the the same size or do u need to make the holes bigger? Are there any issues with ventilation?

the new speakers are bigger, and an appropriately sized oval whole needs to be cut out for them, which even i found easy! Prise be to the Black and Decker 'Bremmell' thingy, wonder tool!

no problems with ventilation that I am aware of.

with regard to the holes depends if ovals where installed as a stereo upgrade at factory if you have ovals (as i did) the infinitys go straight in and sound a lot better, I have also put an amp on mine and this made a HUGE difference

Where did you put the amp? So far I have changed the radio casette for a Pioneer DEH P77MP which not only sounds the biz, but looks great, and bought some good component speakers second hand off ebay, doors and rear. Now I have a Genesis Profile 2 amp (also second hand from ebay) to install, to power the fronts, and I reckon I can get it in the space above the dash glove pocket passenger side. For the rear speakers, I am still toying with the idea of another amp but will try the one at the front first and then see. Don't want to be running too many wires to and fro if I can help it.

velcro'd it to the petrol tank next to spare wheel, I had a smaller one behind spare wheel!
