I know the Chimaera is a bit prone to it, my last one did it at times, my latest seems more prone.
Apart from keeping my boot in more, what can I do to minimise it?
Thanks

Do you mean it shunts more on the overrun? My VW Polo does that a lot in 1st and 2nd haha! Not just limited to TVR it seems.

Between gear changes I just tend to ride the clutch a bit more. If it happens when going onto the overrun I like to depress the clutch and just coast orneutral if coming up to lights. Then rev match and ride back into the gear if needed. It's a bit more difficult in the TVR because it's so free revving. Only when I'm trying to make it comfortable for a passenger, otherwise I quite like it!

"passenger"?
Is that how one refers to the creature next to you with the white knuckles, dropped jaw and eyes like saucers?

Always wondered.

If you are reffering to the shunting around 1700 rpm is higher gears, there is a mulitude of reasons for it, from poor ignition / fueling and intake design plus cam duration, and its down to poor burn of the mixture / mixture contamination. First thing to check is all the service items are in good shape, and check the ignition timing is spot on. Beyond that it gets more awkward, as putting in a bit more fuel can help, but the catalyst fuel map wont allow you to do this on the 14CUX.
