Hi Guys,
I'm thinking about improving on the cooling side of things and wondered what are the options? Is there anything to be gained by an alloy rad? are they bigger? are there any other alternatives?
cheers.

I fitted an Aaron Alloy Radiator over a year ago (http://www.aaronradiator.co.uk/

No problems all good, no leaks. Is worth checking the rest of the cooling system when the radiator is out i.e. hoses they do perish over time.

The securing of the radiator needs to enable some movement, these are the rubber mounts. If its secured rigid then it could fracture.

Alloy generally more expensive - some benefits which are debateable

A good re-cored radiator is fine and o/e - if well maintained should cause no problems - check hoses too - just changed mine & all looked fine but bottom rad hose had been cut through by jubilee clip & likely to have failed shortly - lucky escape

I don't just want for 'bling' appeal [can't believe I said that] but I want to improve the cooling of the engine since going turbo. I have no issues at the moment, but don't want any in future.

I changed mine to Ali after turbo and dropped about 10 deg. I bought mine from high flow. They have been making rads and intercoolers for Ferrari's and lambos for years and recently started doing TVR's. Very good quality and at a good price. http://www.highflowracing.co.uk/

No problem, I had mine made with fan housing built in, great, got rid of the plastic housing and bolted the fans straight on. The only thing was when I had the turbo installed the expansion tank was moved from the wing to the back of the rad. So with the new rad I had to drill into the cowl and refit the expansion tank. They will do this for you if your in the same situation, top guys to deal with.

Aaron, and I presume others as well, will powder coat in black for a small additional charge.
The Aaron rads also have the fan cowlings built in as standard.
