I wonder if you added up the votes for the Griff and Chim, how high would the end result have ended up? It's essentially the same car after all... 
I've always felt that the combination of Griff, Chim, Cerbera was in exactly the same place in the 90s as the E-Type was in the 60s... more or less covering every E-type iteration between the three of them, too.

Doesn't really say a lot about the credentials (never mind brains) of the voters nor the value of Autocar's pole IMO, given that the title is "The top 100 best-ever British cars".
