Headlight cover upgrade
Discussion
I have seen a picture in sprint of the two Takara demonstator cars and noticed that one has the perspex headlight covers off the final Chimaera's.
This has raised two issues:-
1, How easy is the conversion and what is the cost?
2, I thought the reason why the Griff main beam lamps were set low down is to avoid head build-up under the perspex, is this a potential problem on the Chimaera.
If the cost is reasonable, i think it makes the car look a little cleaner IMHO.
Cheers all

I think they look much better than the Speed 12 headlamp conversions that inexplicably seem so popular. The front of the Chimaera is already too "busy" with all kinds of lumps, bumps, holes, folds and swage lines - adding more holes just makes it worse. OTOH, the headlamp cover conversion tidies it up. IIRC it's well over a grand, so it can wait until I hit something.
I also asked this question a while back, but was told the covered lights are completely different - the covers finish further back, and require a cut into the wing to convert, hence the IIRC £1k comment above.
Also as said, will wait for (but not wishing too hard) front end repair before changing!

Thanks Guys
If its not just an easy swap, then the front stays as original. I have no plans on hitting anything in the short term...
Still not clear why they put the main-beam driving lamp so low on a Griffith if they could be combined into the headlight unit. The main beam on my Griffith was p*ss poor and would surly have been better if the lamps were a little higher.
