I lost my dearest friend yesterday.
Tony died in a freak car crash. He had just picked up his awesome Jensen Interceptor up from its MoT where it had only failed on 1 bulb. I thought he was joking earlier in the week about taking me to Blackpool today to pick up my finished car from Surface and Design in the Jensen but guess that was his plan. We dont know what happened but he set off and drove into a solid wall just 50 yards away. There was no sign of him even trying to brake or turn.

He was my best friend and also my drag race nemesis. We wouldnt have developed our cars and progressed in our drag race exploits without each other.

I am devastated and this remarkable man will be very sadly missed by so many.

I know there are quite a few of my TVR friends here that may have met him.

RIP mate.

Very sorry to hear that Derek frown

I know how you feel - just lost a good snowboarding buddy yesterday, he was hit by a drunk driver as he got into a taxi. Life deals some sh!t cards to awesome people...

Sorry about that Derek, Is he the chap with the American Camper/day wagon ? His misses gave me some breakfast at Shakey .

It took me years to get over my brother in law who died on a motorbike in Spain.. In fact i still think about him ..

So sad, and so spooky......I passed a silver grey Interceptor III this morning on the A1. First one I have seen in years.
My commiserations to you and his family - never seems fair, does it?

A real nice helpful guy, he will be sorely missed, what a waste.

I have great memories of that weekend at Shakey.

Same as Richard didn't know the guy but what awful news. I recently lost a very close friend and at only 30... trying to tell her three year old boy where mummy's gone was heart wrenching..... Thoughts are with you, the family and all that knew Tony.

Having a pint as we speak and I'll raise a glass to Tony

RIP

For those who didn't know him, (I hope you don't mind me putting this up Derek) this is his fantastic car!

He really was an enthusiast.

There's no words for events like that. Best I can offer is go run an outlandish ET and dedicate it to your mate; sounds like a cool fella and exactly what he would have wished for.

Think i already ran that ET that wound him in a good way.
i am 100% confident that he would have run a 10 in the newly supercharged Jensen but i would never admit that to him. Big loss we never saw it happen

That really is a great looking thing. The time and effort that must have gone into that really marks him out as an enthusiast.
