Hi all,

Have just noticed a smell of burning oil, ( engine I think ) have checked rocker covers and seem ok, any ideas where else I should be looking, oil pressure is 35 to 40 psi and no smoking anywhere.

Sump nut, have a look to see if its dripping from there. The standard one can be made loose from clipping a speedbump etc.

Sump gasket, mines leaking from there. Will change mine at next service.
Could be power steering fluid also, from u bend or perished hose.

Burning smells, look along your exhaust for where it's hitting it and trace back from there.

The sump plug nut sits lower than the sump casing so it's possible to loosen it as you ground out the car, speed humps!

I have a Mulfab sump with a smaller nut fitted.

I'd check all pipes that contain oils, the wind will throw it straight at the engine and exhaust.
