Ive recently had the t5 box out to change the rear bushing to the main shaft, and the spigot bush, which meant taking out the clutch. Now, after assembly the clutch feels a bit harder and also jittery the deeper you put your foot. Its har to handle in slow traffic.

Ive had some teflon grease on the release bearing, it slides nicely.
Ive had out the slave and its fine, rebled the system.

Can something happen to the pressure plate while taking off and putting on? This is so strange!

Might have some oil residue on the clutch.

I'd suggest some very hard use and hope.

Same clutch, same slave cylinder, doesn't make sense.

Don't know if it is possible but check that the push rod on the master cyl. (You say you have checked the slave) is seated in the centre of the piston. If the push rod is sitting on the lip of the piston it could be rubbing on the bore of the cylinder iyswim? I have seen this happen on slave cylinders in the past but I think the master should have a guide washer and circlip to prevent this but might be worth checking?

Possible, you can't get it wrong at the other end.

Loosen the clutch slave cylinder on the bell housing and check that the actuating rod is sat in the centre recess in the slave cylinder.

It may be the spring in the master cyl has broken, I thought mine was a one off but it seems quite common.
You can source a new kit here

Rechecked slave and the pushrod which are correct... Do I have to disconnect and take out the whole master to check it and the spring? Sounds like it smile

Unfortunately yes but it is a 10 minute job if the pedal separates from the rod easily! (and you have an assistant).

Remembered that I only tighted the flywheel bolts to 25nm. Tighted them to 40nm now. Clutchpedal feels normal when the car is cold. Once its warm, the pedal feels heavier and a bit jitterish :-/

Its manageable but I liked the old pedal better
