Barbie's offside window won't budge.

I have had a look through the speaker aperture and it appears the whole inner door panel will have to come off to get at the motor. Is this the case?

I am getting a click from a relay/solenoid somewhere in the door, so I don't think it is the switch or fuse.

Questions.

Will it be the motor, or could it be something else in the mechanism??

If it is the motor, manufacturer / model ref etc??

PS New speakers needed after I stuck a screwdriver through the cone when I was putting it back.

It is possible that it is the connection to the window motor and can be checked through the speaker hole.

It might be a bad connection at the switches end?

On mine the loom was tight and made a bad connection, pulled the loom up a bit, cleaned everything up, put it back, job done.

Emley,

Mine gets stuck all the time. i have had it all apart and greased it etc but it still happens.

If you take the speaker out the motor is just aft of the aperture. The actual business end of the motor is vertical. Give this part a tap with a small hammer (or a mobile phone at the Dartford tunnel............) Hopefully that will free it off.

Works every time for me.

Cheers

Yes the panel has to come off. The motor is not available seperately so either get a replecement from TVR or from a scrapped Tiv.
