Don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, but Phazed and I did a sprint event with SteveSPG in his 6.3 Tamora last week.
Times - Phazed 1.28, QBee 1.29, Steve SPG 1.32 (we'll ignore the Tuscan).
The power of the LS didn't actually help him one bit.
Up and down a runway, I grant you he would have been faster, but for me its speed around the twisties that is where i get my fun. And no, I don't want a Caterham, I don't even want a second Caterham for the other foot. hehe

but then as Peter said he was driving one handed round most of it so perhaps not driving to the limits of the car, but at what felt enjoyable to him? I didnt get chance to go in with him but didnt look like he was pushing all that hard in the corners and thats nothing to do with the Ls up front smile

I did go in with him. The issue, if you can call it that, was that when he used the power it came in a huge lump and he was then arriving far too fast into the next corner, resulting in a somewhat ragged travel around the circuit. The issue was perhaps one of handling and braking, so perhaps it wasn't due to the LS engine. Hard to tell.
