Windscreen Replacement - Poole
Discussion
I am having my windscreen replaced as a result of a rather large crack. I was wondering whether anyone has any experience/knowledge of Auto Windscreens in Poole.
Reading numerous posts, people warn of some poor eperiences. Having spoken to them, they confirmed that the fitter is very experienced and has fitted a number of TVR windscreens.
Any comments or feedback would be appreciated.

I think I would just advise caution. I needed a new screen 5 years ago and AutoGlass in Guildford were very honest and said that they didnt want to do the job - apparently they couldnt guarantee that their glass cutter wouldnt cut the leather / dash when removing the old screen.
I negotiated with my insurer and got the screen replaced at Fernhurst TVR who did an excellent job - the Service Manager at the time did recall some horror stories about work he'd seen by AutoGlass which had to be redone by Fernhurst. This included not just badly fitted screens, but also damage to paintwork on the wings where the screens had been lifted in and out.
If your insurer wont agree to a specialist fitter, then at least I'd take photos of the car before work commenced, and perhaps even try and have a chat with the fitter beforehand just to check their history of TVR screens is genuine? Nothing worse I guess than having a fitter who assumes that all screens are the same!
Hope this helps.
