Hi all, hope the good weather is bringing the Chimaeras out over the weekend thumbup

I'm sure I'm not thew only one who has a car that is not on the road cry Luckily it should be back soon driving

This leaves me with a quandary though, what do I do with the bits that will be overflowing from the boot? Is here a market for standard bits or is it best to keep hold of them until the prices skyrocket?

Storage isn't a problem, just really wondering if it's worth bothering with. I am not very mechanical so I would never put it back to standard. I never plan to sell her anyway but if I should need to, will people want all the standard bits?

Keep every last clip and hose, etc, put em in a box up in the attic or whatever and in years to come you'll be glad you did, it's still part of the original car. Either that or bin em. Lol
I've got head gaskets oil seals all sorts of useless bits but just can't part with them. It's proof of the history and a reminder of the work under taken. Whatever floats your boat though.

No worries Nick. I have all the engine bits, old rings, oil pump gears, valve stem seals the lot, a cam which could go back in(sound lobes) and that's just a start, I'm almost at the point where I could build another one! hahahah.
I reckon these cars are like old time pieces, keep every link and screw.

Even the knackered bits, should be kept. In years to come car restoration will involve 3 d laser scanning of the parts, and 3 D printing of the replacement (probably)
