Second petrol leak in 3 weeks, first one was a pig to fix on the pipe that goes down back of engine and connects to copper pipe almost on top of bell housing, how hard could they have made it to tighten jubilee clip.Second leak today. pipe clipped to chassis above main box on exhaust looks like whole exhaust going to have to come off. This is a braided pipe only been on about 3 years since outriggers were done .Looks like its been fastened to chassis with very tight cable ties and has rubbed through. Hope weather stays dry as i will be doing repair on driveway .

IMHO braided hoses can be dangerous for fuel as you can't actually see the condition of the hose.

Replace all the flexible hoses, especially the other one in front of the bulkhead!

your right i had to go right along length of car to find where leak was,as fuel was running and dripping from all over. they dont seem to last any longer than plain rubber pipe. the one that goes down back of engine has been changed three times in four years, thank god nothing ever goes wrong with the car except fuel pipes

My original feed hose gave up last year, petrol peeing all over the place. I only had enough to replace that section, and it was a right git of a job. My return hose is still in pretty good condition and the pipe seems to come up a bit higher so should be easier, another job for the weekend!!

It also helps if you've got a weedy mate with very skinny hands. I've got fingers like pigs tits.

Problem with the over braided rubber hoses is you can't see the rubber cracking underneath.

When I re tie wrapped my copper lines to the chassis, I had some clear pipe (washer style) which I cut little lengths to use at each tie wrap point.

Is it not easier to pop the plenum off to get better access down back of engine (remember to put a cloth over so you don't drop something down the holes)
