Considering that this is your first post, you may not get much response unless you can provide some evidence that you have bought the car.

I'm member of a french forum specialized about Range rover P38 ( www.rangeroverp38.com) and i have created a post when i'm gone to Ashington to pick up the car:

J'essaye de ne pas paniquer et rouvre le " bonnet" et oh surprise les ventilos ne tournent pas...;
Je remplace le 30 A après avoir trouve la boite à fusibles , contact et toujours rien;

That must be the place in Ashington that always has a few TVRs for sale on here. Some still damaged, some repaired. Often on ebay too (username tvrglen....) Quite a stock for parts!

Apologies, I thought you were mainly looking for information about the background / history of your car.

The Owners Handbook is a nice to have, and gives some baisc information about the car, but you probably want something more technical.
A scanned version of the Owners Handbook is available on Lord Grover's website : https://sites.google.com/site/lordgrover/Home/usef...

The document link is : https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&a...

If you've not found this website http://www.rv8r.co.uk/index.html then it is well worth a visit, and the small fee (£5) to obtain the CD of all the information is a bargain.

There is also a book which you may hear referred to as the "Bible".

This is the Steve Heath book "The TVR Griffith and Chimaera", http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Griffith-Chimaera-Stev...

It can go for a stupidly high price second-hand on eBay, whilst it's good it is not worth paying more second-hand than new - it is still available from the author via the Amazon link above.

Another website that should be in your bookmarks is http://www.chimaerapages.com/index.php

Hope this helps.

Thank's sgrimshaw,
I always own all this documentation and also the french book about chimaera and griffith.
My english is not really good!!!!!!I need also, if possible, information about history/background of my chim. Maybe one old owner is on pistonhead ( HPI report count only 3 owners before me).
There is also on the targa a sticker of the english TVR club

Another question: could you tell me the exact color ref and the color name ?

From a photo it's impossible to tell what the colour is.

However, there is a plate on the inner wing under the bonnet, which you can see in the first picture you posted. Just under Glen's right arm.

On that plate, there is a Body Code (Paint Code).

From that maybe you can discover the paint details ( of the original colour ).

Doesn't always work though .... my car is Rolex Blue according to the build sheet, but the paint code isn't found in any of the lists.

The lists are in the General TVR Stuff and Gossip forum.

According to the Paint Code list .....

The paint code is Montreal Blue Mica.

It is actually a BMW paint colour, BMW 297

The TVRCC might be able to help, but you'll need to be a member to access their forums.

First step might be to post a new topic in the General TVR forum on PH with "Anyone know about a Chimaera T692JCX"

Where you may fall down is that often TVR's were placed on private plates, so T692JCX might not have been it's registration number for all it's life.
