Do your faired in Chimaera lights suffer from condensation ?

Hi People,

as the topic says, Can faired in Chimaera headlights suffer from condensation ? Any of you guys thats had the conversion done had this problem at all ? Also has anyone had a Lupo headlight conversion faired in ? I currently have Lupos fitted, initially i was interested in a Tuscan type upgrade, but seeing some of the faired in lights one here, i may well of changed my mind....

I've a bit of dust in there from the job at the time (ie wasn't spotless during installations, but I can't say I've suffered from any damp over the last 6 months . I guess it depends upon how well everything is sealed / tightened??

Edited to add : mine is/was a sportmotive / fiberon kit too . No complaints.

Around 14 months since having them faired in (at Sportmotive) and never any sign of condensation, look as good as the day they were fitted

Sounding good guys, pics would be nice, so I can do a bit of dribbling anybody else had this conversion done ? And still need to know if it can be done with the Lupo upgrade !

No condensation in mine, conversion done about 7 years ago.

Steve Edwards does a bolt on conversion for Lupos iirc.

Mine have been done about two years.

No condensation but a couple of flies in one - maybe in there during install, or still a way in !

I removed the lamp cover (I have bling fiesta rear lights) and gently pushed the cover off, cleaned and prepared the cover, masked the centre, so that I could spray the black edge, refitted the lamp unit. sealed that to the shell with silicone (the person who swapped the lamps did not do this) and stikaflex'd the cover back on to cure the problem.

I`m thinking about leaving the Lupos in and fitting the Steve Edwards covers on ,These are Lupo but a different style .

They all look sweet, thanks for the pics fella's, i wonder how much the smoked ones lower the light output, anyone had issues with this ? i like the fact that my lupo's are nice and bright at night, so dont want to lose that...

Smoking has no noticeable impact on light output.
My light cowlings are smoked it is very subtle.

Mine with the standard lupos faired in by Steve






First class work (although my pristine engine bay was covered in GRP dust after!)
Also negates the problems some have faced with gaps around the existing bezel and the lupo unit.

The Steve Edward's ones are less invasive to fit I understand but the car ends up looking a bit like a Panda.
