nice one ! you could fit 215/40 /17 7x17 to 8.5x17 604 diameter standard size 606mm those two sizes will nor rub so a safe way to go .

You could risk a 215/45/17 sometime they catch on the front but look better . .

245/40/14 8x17 to 9.5x17 628mm diamater standard 632mm

Im running 235/45/17 8x17 to 9.5x17 diameter 644mm

215/45/17 and 235/45/17 work well together and they fill the arches a bit more, the front could rub ..

These are 215/45/17 235/45/17

£300 for a TVR chum ! Why is it i sell everything cheap, just get rid , every one else fights to get the last penny .

You ask Chimongas and brett ,two happy customers and i get shut .

I like to help people and put posts like this up ,it makes me feel good getting deals for people even if i don`t know them .

It`s worth more than a few extra in quid in your pocket ! i sell for what i would like to pay .

Are your wheels 8" wide?

Im tempted to fit 215x45 all round as mine are 8" and not 8.5"

If it was me i would fit 245/40/17 and 215/40/17 both fit on to an 8k rim .

or 235/45/17 215/45/17

215 is not wide enough for the rears

Thanks for taking the time to give me the info above. You say the fronts might rub at 45 profile, your car is the same style as mine, any rubbing issues with yours?

Id like to go for the bigger profile, for the look and the slightly smoother ride.

Thanks, Scott.

No rubbing issues at all with 245/40/17 215/40/17 Its a good combination .

These are good road tyres ,been very popular for a while ,especially TVR`s

Yes the 215/45/17 did slightly rub but they were road legal track day shoulder which come with a wider shoulder . You get a nicer ride with 215/45/17 but you need the rear tyre to be close to 1" higher wall hight to compensate for have the same size wheels .

Thats why 215/45/17 and 235/45/17 work well ,Iv`e also seen 245/45/17 tyres fitted which look good and drop your rpm down slightly ,they start getting very expensive in that size .
