BTR 345 diff

Can anyone tell me what RPM a 3.45 ratio will give at 70mph . Just trying to work out the difference going from 3.31 to 3.45, which is what most of the later cars have .

That will be lower geared if I'm reading the numbers right. Faster pick up but less top speed!
Probably a couple hundred revs different! Get it in there.
I'm hoping someone can confirm this for me once and for all!

Doesn't mine have a 308??? Did I imagine that number.

Well i`m fitting a new one with brackets supplied .i wanted to have it converted to ether 308 or 323 but it started to become very expensive ,I like the idea of lower revs at speed .

Steve Strange has a low mileage 3.23 for sale , he is being an ass ,he wanted £410 ,I offered £400, it did not sell on fleabay so i mailed him to ask if the £400 offer was ok ,he has now decided to put it up to £500 .. Fg idiot

What is it about TVR breakers !

Probably only about 100rpm difference at a guess...

I have the 3.23 - and I think it's only a couple of hundred rpm difference from the 3.45 at best.

Daz - I was looking at getting my 3.23 rebuilt into a 3.45, but just doesn't seem worth of for the minimal gains vs. cost - your gains would surely be even smaller..?

So maybe i will go 308 in the future . Why did TVR fit diffs which came all the way from Australia . Will any other diff fit? ,seen loads on fleabay especially diffs from BMW`s ,they look close to exact ,they can be purchased for peanuts .
