Hi, my Chim`s decided to go a bit lumpy. The idle speed was up around 2000 revs the other day, it drops down if you give it a blip. It also has a slight misfire under load at around 2500 revs. It has new plugs, Magnacor leads, dizzy cap & rotor arm oh and some go faster blue hoses!Any ideas? any recommendations for a reasonable garage who can give it a tune up? S E London / Bromley / surrey area?.
Cheers, Steve
Have you cleaned the stepper motor?
For Garages around your area drop ncs a mail via his pofile, He's the TVRCC, RO for your area.
I have cleaned the stepper motor but not the seat, so it could possibly be that I suppose. I`ll send ncs an e mail. Thanks, Steve

I think you'll find Nick (ncs) uses Austec Racing, off the M23 at Crawley. Paul (owner, chief mechanic) should be able to find this sort of glitch in short order.. Its usually cheaper than changing bits willy nilly yourself IMHO.

David Batty at The Garage, Jacksons Corner, Compton is in the same neck of the woods. He cured my mystery intermittent misfire by finding the distributor posn sensor was a bit loose (located behind a sticker which says "do not remove").
