picked it up on Saturday, spend three fillings already and can't get that moronic smile off my face 
This car is stunning, it's awesome and the sound of the engine makes you go woohooo... IT is loud, IT is fast and IT is bad
After reading through the last week's threads I asked myself whether there are any not so obvious do's and dont's that more experienced owners might want to advice.

Do: Respect (and even fear, for now) the car.
Do: Take great care when pulling out onto wet roundabouts on a cold morning when your tyres haven't warmed up, even at very low speeds & small throttle openings (I speak from experience).
Don't: Get overconfident and spin / crash.
Do: Have a lot of fun and enjoy your car
Do: Think about a RideDrive course or similar - it is a lot of fun but also builds experience and confidence.
Don't: Ever forget that the car will bite you if you take liberties

Sorry, a bit harsh- it's just that some owners get a bit fed up with their cars being referred to as 'Chimps'- even the mighty Steve Heath is known to use this disparaging soubriquet!
Personally it's no skin off my nose but it can be a contentious issue.
Many congrats on the new purchase and I'm sorry for what seemed like an aggressive reply.
Happy motoring and if you have ANY questions or problems, you know this a font of considerabable knowledge.

Calling it a Chim doesn't bother me but being known as a Panzee would!
Anyway congrats on the new purchase, echo waht's been said before... oh and we need pictures!

Chim is not my favourite name albeit slightly incorrect.
But please God don't let DustyC see the Panzee bit - pleeeaasseeee!

Good work mate - I've had mine for a couple of months now and love it more every time I get into it!
Just wait till people 100 yards in front of you turn around to see what's coming
Also try the Chimaera Challenge: make child cry/drop sweeties/both by accelerating hard through a railway tunnel etc while they are nearby. I've managed to de-ice cream an urchin using this method.

My 2c worth: you have enough power to spin it in all road conditions, not just on wet roundabouts. I nearly trashed mine finding this out. A twitch of the wheel is all it takes - I begin to wonder if the reason I don't see many Chims on the road is that they're all in ditches ;-)

some egit smacked into the back of mine and I've been stuck with a boxster for the last 6 weeks, awful bloomin' car, but efficient, get my P&J back next week, yippee! AND with a new rear end respray...
Tho a bit worried about my first winter in one - be careful out there.
