Which ever way makes it easiest to get at for "in situ" adjustments ?

it doesn't really matter but If you have them your way I think that they are easier to adjust than having the knob facing the hub. If you stick the adjuster at the top then they are even easier to adjust at the front as you can do it through the bonnet and you reduce the unsprung weight, might be an issue with ggp not being designed to sit that way though, something about a valve iirc.

Mine face downwards, if you adjust them when things are hot it's less likely to burn!
They are getting hit by the elements but the adjusters can get very tight anyway so it's also easier to turn them when they face downwards.

Nice job Wuckfit.

Mine are mounted with the knob at the bottom, so with the adjustable spring platforms under the springs, and with the knob facing towards the centre line of the car. To adjust, just lie on the ground next to the wheel, put your arm around under the car and feel for the knob.
They benefit from regular lubrication, as they do tend to get a bit clogged up with grit and dust from the road.
I am about to suggest to Gaz that they fit a bigger knob too. A bigger knob would make adjusting so much easier.

Then simply remember that it is clockwise to harden (tighten), anticlockwise to soften (loosen) - ie the same as any screw.

Titter ye not......whistle

Wishbones powdercoated, chassis rust treated, 3 coats of red lead, 3 coats hammerite, 2 coats of clear laquer. Steel bits electroplated and oil based clear laquered. Propshaft and drive shafts primed and sprayed Dacrylte oil based paint. I will post some pictures shortly when I have more bolted together.

Hi
IMHO I would fit the fronts with the adjuster facing the wheel so on full lock you can see the adjuster, on the rears i always have them facing away from the wheel so can put your hand up behind the shock.
