Hello
Just removed my speedo as it’s faulty.
Has anyone experience of anywhere good or bad where they have had speedo repairs carried out?
I see the original supplier Carbont / speed cables in South Wales are still in existence, so going to try them in the morning.
Many thanks

Another alternative here if you don't want to wait.

I hear Speedy cables, whilst good, are not so speedy.

Just had mine repaired by speedy cables, took approx. 6 weeks. I ended up buying a spare speedo to fill the hole whilst it was away.

Mine was also a Caerbont, I did contact ETB, but they wouldn't touch it, saying I needed to go back to Speedy cables for the repair.

Cheers

When these people repair the speedo, I assume the mileage stays the same and not zero'd..?

Yes they do. I asked specifically so I don"t know if they zero unless you ask.

Speedy Cables aren't so speedy but I have never heard any complaints about their quality.

JDO (John Ostick in Keighley Yorks on the other hand has turned around a speedo for me inside a day and charges no more than the other places. He is a bit plain spoken however and will not touch anything electronic/digital, electrically driven units are OK though.
