Anyone ever washed the protective bag thing that the roof goes into in the boot? My one smells like something has died in it, I have checked that there isn't any bodies in there hehe

Cold wash in the washing machine, hand wash, any ideas?

That will take ages though. I'd have to go find a pretty girl with curly hair, then go out on a few dates, probably have to pretend to be interested in whatever dribble she talks about.. Will never be cleaned by the end of summer hehe

You're not doing it right man! If a big throbbing, vibrating, TVR machine hasn't bagged you a good'un yet then something's wrong hehe

The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results, so a couple of years ago I decided to stop going in for the committed relationship thing and just hang out with strippers and be happy. None of them want to wash my stinky pants or roof bags though, life sucks smile

Update: Cold hand wash setting in the washing machine didn't damage it, but also didn't clean it too well. If anyone else ever plans to do this I suggest that you make sure that the sink is empty first as it's like pulling a leaky bin bag filled up with water from the washing machine silly

Just hand washed it in the bath and got the moldy bits off, now it smells of roses.

Not a bad idea that, it smells better now but still has loads of grime/possible mold inside it. Will give it a go next time I go to the jetwash, I think that the jetwash may have been the cause as I do sometime throw the hood back in the bag straight after I've washed the car paperbag

Mine stank when I bought it. Turned it inside out and used Autoglym interior shampoo, then rinsed well and left outside to dry thoroughly.
