Well after a fraught couple of years I am now back in the position to purchase my first Chimaera.
I went to Fernhurst TVR in 2011 when my mind was made up that I needed to own the car I had wanted for many years when going to Le Mans and walking around the TVR's. After spending some time with the guys there and being on a nice long test drive I decided I had found the car for me and put a £1k deposit down.
Well two days later work and family life changed drastically, my job was insecure and my father in law died. This put everything on hold as we were to be carers for my elderly mother in law. Anyway I called Graham at Fernhurst and let him know my situation and he was very understanding and said when I am in the position again to buy one come back and they will still honour the £1k off any purchase from them. I was very happy with this as they didn't have to do it and they had done lots of little bits and pieces on the car for me and also changed the exhaust for me.

Anyway things in my life have now changed for the better, my job is secure (well as secure as it can be), we still care for my elderly mother in law but that is fine and my wife and I now have a bouncing 11 month old baby boy. All that said I am ready to buy my dream car again and have just emailed Graham at Fernhurst to let him know. Fingers crossed he still honours the deposit paid.

Anyway hopefully I will be posting photos on here etc when I get over to Fernhurst in the next few weeks. Thanks Tich.

Highland Pearl, rare colour, but undeniably the quickest one... Bag one if you can... wink

Hope it works out for you, and a big welcome in advance smile

Reading PJ57's recent post about his new purchase and the long list of jobs that need doing I am pretty sure that I will be getting from a dealer. I hope the warranty they offer means the cars are prepped well.

Fernhurst have an A1 reputation. And a strong desire to keep it. You tell them you want a car with no issues, they will sell you one.
