Rear fog light not working
Discussion
Just found out that my rear fog light doesn't work. I'm not sure if the fuse has blown or it's a problem with the fog light button. The button does not illuminate when I press it to indicate it is on??
Has anybody had the same problem? I don't have my bible with me as I'm working away from home..if it is a fuse does anbody know which one?
Any help would be good.

From the fuse layout in my handbook and the bible, it doesnt appear as though its on a separate fuse. Maybe its just a case of, new bulb sir.
I cant even find the switch on the wiring schematic, although my eyes arn't what they used to be.
All the best Dave. We're off to the East Midlands TVRCC meet on Sunday if you are interested.

Hi Neil,
Nice to hear from you - how are you?, I'm still working away in Derby so haven't been to any meets or anything. Some good news..remember me telling you about the noise from the rear of the Chim? well it's the wheel bearing that's cooked!
and not the diff.
Anyway back to the post..I havent checked the bulb, I have attempted but I was struggling to get into it..I will have to have a better go this weekend..does anybody know which bulb I need to get if it is blown?
Cheers

Don't worry about the name buddy, I've been called far worse names than Neil.
Don't know what stage I was at when I last spoke with you but the engine has had a total re-build at TVR Power, a new spicier cam fitted, new ecu chip, free flow sports main cat and some other bits and bats. Its running very well and sounds grrrrrrreat.
Glad to hear your diff isn't mashed as you suspected.
If you ever fancy a blat (or is it Hoon) drop me a mail.
Oh BTW the wife has just booked me in for a two day ride drive session, cant wait.

Hi Dave
Seems like you had a lot doensince we last met..bet it drivessounds fantastic now! would like to see it!
Mine stil sounds very quiet to most other Chimaera's, thinking about pre-cat removal. I have the JP exhaust back box mod "removal of wadding and sleeving of the pipes" but it still sounds quiet and no pops and bangs.
Anyway, once i get my wheel bearing and CV joint sorted I will give you and shout and we can go for a blatthoon

Have tried the bulb and that is ok, also tried with dipped beam and still the rear fog light does not work.
The fog light button does not illuminate when pressed..anbody any other ideas?
Regards
Dave
Take the head unit out and see if the switch has a plug on the back of it, easily pulls off, especially if you pull out and refit head unit.
Dave,
Sorry this is off topic but when I first bought my car it also sounded quiet. After some investigation I found that the pre cats had disintegrated and blocked the main cat. Its an easy job to check the pre cats, just remove the Y piece and have a look around the bends or stick your hand in and have a feel. Mine was so badly blocked I had to cut 2" of the main cat out as a tempory measure until I got hold of a new one. The cost of the new cat was about £180.00. My lad did all the TIG welding so labour was nothing.
Its worth a look.
