I got caught out one evening with a snapped throttle cable, it was a bit un expected.

Anyway I got a new cable and Ive had a few issues with the fitting.

I used cable ties to secure the nylon bush in place on this bracket, like the original one was, but Im hearing that the bracket should in fact have a gromet fitted to it as a way of holding this end of the cable in place.

The second issue is the sticky throttle, which would apear to be caused by the cable not being correctly centred with the pedal, this must be related to the first issue but does anyone know the best way I can get the whole thing lined up so it works properly? What parts do I need?

Here's the wear caused after 200 miles with the new cable.
