Running problem
Discussion
Possible hot start issue. However, you need to check your earths at the time when the problem occurs. You can do this by connecting a jump lead to the negative terminal of the battery and then clipping it to a clean bolt on/ part of the engine or chassis. The bolts on the swirl pot are quite good points.
If the car starts when the jump lead is connected between the two earths, you know you have an earthing problem. If no change, then it's time to go through the live connections, starting with the live feed. ChimpOnGas did a good post covering the replacement of the live cable to the starter. Not an easy job, but it will help. I added a couple of earths at the same time.

If the starter motor still spins after the engine dies but the car just wont start it could be similar to the issue I had, if it is not the hot start issue.
I have replaced my ignition coil and shortened/re crimped the pack of wires that are cable tied on to the hose comming off the flame trap. My car now has no running issues and starts and idles reliably.
