Radio cuts out when engine fans come on ?

Hi Guys
I will start by saying the radio is used when "her indoors" is with me so not too much stick please as I only listen to the sound of that lovely V8
The radio/CD is fine until the fans kick in to cool the engine, then it will cut out ,it keeps the memory ,time,stations etc but just stops playing, once engine has been cooled and fans stop it comes back on again
Could this be a bad earthing problem or is it something else ?

Pop round after work one night and I'll get the meter on it, seem to remember we had a spare live in the radio loom ?
