Supercharging advice
Discussion
Hi all, anyone fitted there own supercharger kit from sc power? Did you have any issues and is there anything I should check before going ahead? I have a 95 400 no power steering. Apparently the home mechanic can fit this kit. I am also planning to fit an mc1 cam as it's not a hc.
Thanks
Rob

Yes I installed my own too, was easy even with the intercooler. I would also recommend installing an oil cooler if you plan to drive it hard; I've just had my engine rebuilt and we found a fair few burned oil deposits so it had been getting hot. I've had one installed now just to be safe.

Will water injection take the inter coolers job ?
Yes and no, let's put like this, you need a big tank, water injection supplements the cooling even further as even with a intercooler I was seeing hi intake temps. So water adds another degree of safety, why cut corners, what would you do if the water tank ran out and had no intercooler, err no just fit the intercooler and if you find that's not enough then add water. Also water injection nozzles can block so you need some means of bringing this you your attention. I fitted a aquamist system which is as good as gets
