Fuel pump primes then nothing!!

Right chaps get your head round this one need a solution! Battery fully charged all fuses relays checked alarm deactivated immobiliser light off fuel pump primes and ... Nothing!!! Not even a faint click! It was acting strange a few weeks ago nothing then key back to 0 then started but Friday night half way through cranking it just stopped and now nothing took starter motor off tested ok solenoid cleaned connections all ok on starter so it's not the starter motor... got 12v going into ignition switch maybe the ignition switch is fubar? Or has the foxguard immobiliser relay gone? Would the fuel pump prime if it had? Car starts with a push start so I can get to a to b but then need a push again!! so does that rule out the immobiliser problem?

No expert but mines doing my nut in,similarly mine sometimes primes but won't start, other times no matter what you do it won't prime at all, lock and unlock makes no difference ,,,,,,,,,,, you leave it for 20 mins and unlock then it works!???!
If you don't start it within the 20 seconds after you've unlocked it expect a long wait!
It's immobiliser related I feel!

They do strange things when the main earth from engine to chassis is either corroded or not making proper contact either end. Try clipping a jump lead from chassis to engine to eliminate this.

That's what I thought if it was the immobiliser at fault wouldn't it not bump start?
I'd agree with that logic, if there wasn't a clear signal from the immobiliser them it wouldn't fire on a bump start I think. That's what I thought if it was the immobiliser at fault wouldn't it not bump start?
Then again logic says my mirrors should work as everything has a clear signal but the bloody things still won't go!

Mine was doing this, the Immobilizer had a ring around the ignition lock that recognised the chip in the fob on the key ring, well it didnt because I'd disturbed it whilst having the column cowlings off to do something, thought it was the ignition switch myself and replaced that before I twigged what it was, repositioned ring and all good.
Your Immobilizer might well be very different in operation and set up tho
