Waterproof cover....I need one, any pointers?

Hi chaps. Sadly my garage is going and I need to keep the chim outside. As a consequence I need a decent breathe able waterproof cover for about 8 months or so until I move. Has anyone any experience of a good one. My only (bad) experience was with my s3c when I left it on, got damp inside and lifted the dash leather help please boys!!!!

I've got a Leven cover, just does the hood area not the whole car, had it for about 2 years but only just used it, three week trip away and dry as a bone inside... completely seals the cockpit area, which in my opinion is best... a whole car cover outside can damage paintwork...

Leven hood cover if you use the car regularly. Saves the sand paper effect on the paint if you use the car remotely regularly. Then get yourself to a camping/caravan shop and get some moisture traps that look like smoke alarms, with crystals inside them. Blue when dry, pink when damp and plug them into a mains plug over night to dry them when damp. £20-25 for two.

I have the Leven hood cover which is an excellent piece of kit. However you are correct it doesn't appear to be on their website. Could be worth giving them a ring to see if they still do it.

The Hamilton Classic cars do both a full breathable cover and a hood cover

I have both the full one for the chim and the hood cover for the XK

Pleased with both. I had a cover zone cover that was tailored for the chim but it fell to bits after 2 years

I have been using a Hamilton cover for the three or four years I've owned my car, and it has not caused any damage to the paintwork despite the fact that I don't keep my car spotlessly clean all the time. The fleeced lining seems to do its job well.

It has needed a treatment with Fabsil though, to restore the waterproofing. Seems to have worked nicely.

Another thumbs up here. Only been using it for the past month, but the torrential rain has been a good test and the car has been kept bone dry underneath. Deffo money well spent

I got one from Classic Additions in Shropshire. I think its the "Ultimate" one for about £170. It is soft but waterproof, can't fault it. Good fit with 3 cross straps.

I can`t fault the three layer indoor /out door Halfords cover . Mine is a bit big ,should of gone for the medium .

I've had and regularly used a Leven cover for years as no garage. Use it when bad weather expected or as additional security/deterent when needed. Prior to the Leven I tried a TVR all-car cover but it used to flap in the wind and set the microwave sensor off, so I desensitised the sensor, then it used to blow away and finally, it scratched the paintwork.
