Where have all the cheep chimaeras gone ?

Just flicking through the classifieds and autotrader and there seem to be very few chimaeras for less than 11k. Yet a month or two ago there seemed to be an endless supply of them.

What’s happened?

Is it just that its too close to Xmas, for people to worry about buying / selling cars ?

I’m just asking as i may (good luck permitting) be in a position to purchase an example of Blackpool’s finest very soon.

mine will be going up when i get it back from the garage - it's in on the basis of 'do everything that needs doing' and may ( or may not ) suit you - certainly will be below your budget as it has more miles than most ( but still not that many ), but needless to say it also has a ream of paperwork to go with it
keep an eye out as i expect i'll post when it goes up.

If I were you I would look around the south coast there was a cheepy in Sussex on Piston heads that was worth a grand more by the time it got to Nottingham in Auto Trader

Yes Shnozz, I’ve sorted that permanent problem with a temporary fix.

Yours was one of the ones I found in the adds, have you got any info or more pics you could send me ?


I noticed that too Cjh !
Unfortunatly it was sold the first time befor i got to it. Funy how it apreciated a grand in a few hours isn't it ?

Its a 93 - Cooper Green, biscuit leather. 3 former owners, 41k on the clock. Mint condition apart from wheels could do with a refurb. Sports exhaust, push button central locking fitted, new alarm, new immobiliser, CD player fitted, new clutch cylinder, FSH, supplied by James Agger, Leven cooling kit so doesnt run too hot. And just had a grands worth of adjustable joospeed suspension fitted.

Cupra....chimaera.....they're just so similar I wouldn't know what one to choose Perhaps I should just throw caution to the wind and buy a Lada with go faster stripes instead
