Ping ping ping

Driving home from work tonight when my Chim starts making this ping ping ping noise. About 3 per wheel revolution. It stopped after about a mile of (slow) driving.

Presumably something caught around the propshaft (small child etc).

Anyone had this?

Is it the equivalent of the IBM blue screen of death? Or is it OK to hammer it down the motorway tomorrow?

Was there any noticeable smell?

Have you got covers on any of your nuts (locking ones maybe)? If so, the cover may have dropped off and flying around behind the cover.
We had one of these and it is really annoying - took them all off now.

Smell - only the smell of fear and the blinding flash of my bank balance disappearing round the U bend.

Nuts - mine are as nature intended thanks
