The black plastic housing that goes round the indicator and wiper/key barrel gubbins?
I need to find out what screws/bolts hold the thing together.

If someone could tell me exactly what car it's off I'd really appreciate it, as I can go to dealers and get the screws today.

If the screws are missing it's more likely that the housing legs/tappings have snapped off inside... Seems to me that the housings are becoming rarer and even harder to find used in decent condition.

I'd advise all to take great care working on them (treat them like gold) and if you can get a spare then do...

From memory there are 2 black (could be painted I guess) screws (about and inch long) and 1 stud which goes in from underneath the cowl (about M4) and hold the unit to the steering column.

Recently taken mine off to replace wiper switch and can confirm, 2 black screws as you look at it from the front, (Might be behind caps) two underneath at the front - self tappers about 1/2 inch long and 1 further back underneath, as mentioned above about 4mm. It is useful to lower column as much as possible if you want to remove the top cowling easily.
