Anyone knows/seen the LPG'ed Chim at our 'favourite' breaker
Discussion
Yes, I know their reputation and that given their normal pricing strategy, £4,999 is rather low even for a Cat D that by their own admission needs some TLC and the photos are of a wet car right after a bucket of shampoo so I shouldn't have any illusions of the state this car is in...
But OTOH I can't really see anything far wrong with it from the pics and description. Can anyone put my mind at ease about potentially missing the bargain of the century just because it turned up at the wrong place etc.?

IMHO you need more info regarding the type of LPG installation, as if it is the single point (ie gas dumped wholesale into the air intake) it won't run anywhere near as well as the multi-point type (individual cylinder injectors). I cannot see the injectors in the region of the cylinder heads, though that could just be down to the quality of the install and the rubbish photo, but if they actually aren't there then that car has the cheap "dump it in and hope" installation.
I would be very twitchy about buying any TVR with the installation already done, you don't know how well it has ben done, what else was done, what ECU it's running, what plugs and leads it has etc etc, and whether it even works. I bought a Jeep years ago already converted, and when a major component worth £200 failed I found that the manufacturer had gone bust 6 years previously. Needless to say it never ran on gas again.
I would also want to see the approval certificates etc, or you could have serious issues getting it insured.
Finally, be careful where you buy an LPG modified car from - the best advice in the LPG world is to buy from a recognised installer or LPG dealer, who will therefore have no excuse not to stand by the Sale of Goods Act - fit for purpose rules.
