the best 17" tyres

Can you give me your opinion about the best tyres for 17" alloys?

Toyo, Good Year or Bridgestone.

Toyo's good, but wear quickly

Goodyears OK

Bridgestone S03, has been criticised - concesus is the S02 is much better

I've just goner to Pilot Sports from Toyo's. I like them so far.

I've just changed from Avon ZZ3 to Toyo, I really liked the Avon, lovely progressive break-away points etc.

Not used to the Toyo yet so the jury's out. Bridgestone OK in standard size but sidewall too stiff for 17"

Been driving on Michelin Pilot Sports - I really like them. Much better than the Pirelli P-Zeros I had before. They're the business, basically.

I fancy a set of Pilot Sport Cups come the summer. But they'd be lunacy in wet conditions and I don't really want two sets of wheels and tyres..

I always used to use Michelin Pilots but I found them useless in the wet when driven hard.

Great for everyday driving though

really I thought they were brilliant in the wet. I've done some very slidy track days on them and was very happy with their performance...
