Chimaera Clutch Cover Plate Bolt Torque Settings

Dear All, as per title, does anyone know what the true bolt/set screw torque settings should be for a 4.0ltr clutch cover plate mated to an R380 [LT77] gearbox?

Have been quoted between 20-35ft/lbs from various TVR publications. My BS tables state 18-22ft/lbs for a high tensile steel 5/16" [x7/8"] bolt.

No definative answer, never torqued a clutch cover in my life, but for a 5/16unf or 8mm bolt 20lb ft sounds about right 35 is a bit "tight" ...... imho

Thanks Phil, my thoughts too, but...I'd be very concerned if V8 TVR's are being torqued to such a high rating. Most of the publications state 35ft/lbs which is so high and TVR's never used specialized bolts, ala ARP, only bog standard steel. I'll be torquing to 20ft/lbs.
