I just discovered what makes a TVR so special. I always wanted one and yesterday I picked up an outstanding Starmist Blue 450 and haven't stopped grinning since. "Awesome" is inadequate to describe the driving experience - "the absolute dog's bollocks" seems to get closer, even though I'm not sure of the origin of this expression.

I should say thanks to you guys on Chimaera Gassing who, over my past two months of reading everything y'all had to say, enabled me to go into this with eyes open. Thanks also to Steve Heath for providing outstanding bedtime reading. Being informed through your experiences I felt confident to judge the merits of many private and dealer 450s until eventually, after 7 weeks of looking, I found exactly what I wanted....and so began the big grin

Nice one Hutch! Welcome... When guys tell you that the MPG averages for the TVR are stupid, remind them of that other well known metric, GPG, (grins per gallon)!
