Front TVR Badge Removal
Discussion
Has anyone taken the front TVR badge off a Griff.
I have just been trying to work it out, but could not see how it is done. I cannot see it from the inside, but if I slide my hand in from the front opening above the number plate, I can feel two pointy things, that are in the right position, but cannot feel any bolts or such like.
BTW: there is a squidgy oil coated thing in the way (air filter?), you can guess that engines are not my most knowledgeable subject. Anyway, the foam object is a long cylinder type shape, and from the inside it looks like it is protected by a bit of drainpipe artfully cut to shape.
Is it possible to get the badge off without damage?
It is a 1995 Griff 500 if it makes a difference.
Thanks

open the bonnet, you'll see a black pipe running to that air cleaner box you were on about, remove the jubilee clip that holds the pipe on, under that is a largish nut that holds the air box on, undo that, remove the airbox and you'll have access to the 2 nuts that hold the badge on. You can do it with the airbox in place but it is a bitch of a job and you 'll need a bunch of spare nuts
Lexus, good god no, I want something tastfull, I want to look as cool as those Nova boys with there tasty chrome and gold work, I may even fit a few tubes under the car to light up the ground at night, coupled with a couple of holes drilled in the bonnet for some cool blue washer lights, I think the Griff would look the dogs doodas.
