Mobilube HD90

Hi all, hate to ask another oil question on here as I do realise it's not an exact science and there is invariably more than one acceptable answer....but hoping someone can clarify this for me. My 95 Chim. Has what I assume is a GKN diff in it and the label under the bonnet says it takes Mobilube HD90. Looking up through the drain bung hole I can see that it is not what I call a normal type of diff, instead of "spider" gears and side gears it has Quaife style helical gears ( similar to photo ).
My question is, are these the standard internals for a GKN diff and if so is it a sin to put L.S type oil in it (with the friction modifiers in) I assume Mobilube HD90 is not a LS type oil? Cheers.

Both BTR and GKN diffs are limited slip and need LS diff oil to function correctly! 75/140w LS Racing from Gulf is what I use, any manufacturer with same spec should be fine! Change once a year.

Thanks Ole, so are you saying the plate under the bonnet is not always accurate. It specifies a non limited slip oil for the car?
I realise this diff is a limited slip diff but it doesn't use plates or cones to provide the resistance so this is why I was a bit confused as to what oil to use.
