Might be worth trying to get it repaired/re-wound.I had fun with this a while back.
It's a Bosch part, no longer produced I think, actually used in some Ferraris too.
I sourced one online from a German company, looking at £150 ish. So in the end I used an angle grinder, and ground off the studs on the wheel/gear box. Then drilled holes to replace the studs (and used self tappers & silicon to seal it back up).
Whilst in there I cleaned and lubed it all up. Big difference, and its now self servicible.
Will need to do the same to the passenger side at some point, but haven't gotten round to it.
