Spare Wheel problem?

Hi, I'm going to install a spare wheel and a jack set. I have found two locations indicated on various pics?





Could you give me and idea to do the best and the more convenient installation?

Mines in the corner and it's a pain getting the roof out without pulling the rubber off the roof. I'm not that concerned though as the roof is always off!

Mine is as picture 2, no problem getting the roof panel in ,and seems to be more out the way than pic 1

Works for me especially as I have no spare!

Do you already have a spare wheel and jack?

I'm having trouble sourcing an original jack, brace and bag All I have at the moment is the wheel, which is pretty pointless.

If you get a puncture out in the countryside, and have breakdown cover, they can put your spare on to get you home.

Otherwise its recovery time. Admittedly, some rescue services may take you to get a new tyre, but what if it's a long way? Or on a Sunday or in the middle of the night. Also, the correct size / speed rating is becoming harder to find.

I've just got mine loose in the boot. As the roof is mostly off it seem to hold it in place

I carry 2 cans of tyre weld, (or similar) and a proper electric pump, not one of those fag lighter things!

That's fine until a tyre gets well & trully fecked!

True but the one time I tried to use the spare it wouldn't fit over my big brakes!

TVR Car club says :
blue for the earlier chim
red for the middle chim
tire weld for the last chim.
As I own a complete spare wheel and a jack set with the original bags and straps , ithink i'lll install it as the blue one is.
