Driving the car through traffic yesterday afternoon... bit of empty road ahead of traffic lights, so I floored it. All of a sudden, I've started getting a clicking noise when I press the clutch pedal. Gets faster the further I depress the pedal, and goes away completely when I release the clutch... any ideas???

Cheers

Go to a garage and get some cluth fluid. Check the level in the master cylinder. TVR clutch is one of its weak points. Fluid seeps past the master cylinder and eventually the cluch will stop disengaging. Top it up.

Sounds more like a dicky clutch release bearing to me but definitely go for the fluid top up first.

Someone else told me clutch bearing could be at issue... what's the £damage if it needs replacing?

Also, if I need a whole new clutch, what would that cost and is there any point in upgrading to a better unit??

300 - 500 quid depending on clutch (including labour). I had an AP Racing clutch fitted. Doesn't sound as though yours needs a new clutch though.
