No problem Ade, I've another to look at on the 29th (I hate Xmas, really restricts viewing times) an S plate with 32k, though not saying any more as this one WILL be mine and I don't want someone else jumping in ahead. I'll post pics when/if I buy it. If your anywhere near Worcs I'll have to keep an eye out for you as my best mate lives there, so will be driving it over and showing it off to him as much as I can in the new year.
Best of luck with the purchase anyway...

No probs with buying from them, good guys... i got mine there last February, just check that it gets regular anti corrosion treatment on the chassis such as waxoyl... they should be able to clarify this though the cars they sale are generally sound.

I know the guys at AB are really good from all the priase that they get here but you may consider having it HPI'd. You can do it on line and get the printout emailed to you almost instantly, it is £40 well spent and nothing in terms of the value of the car.

I was just about to travel to Manchester (that in itself should have rang alarm bells ) the guy selling the car said that there had been a bump on the rear but that it was completely sorted now. The car had been a Cat D write-off when i got the HPI info back; didn't make the trip surprisingly. Shortly afterwards the guy amended the ad to complain about timewasters etc making it pretty clear that it was partly aimed at me. So I went public about the car on AutoTrader and he was forced to include the Cat D bit!!

I wouldn't consider buying a used car from a dealer or privately now without that check.

Just a thought and in no way inferring anything about AB.

m

They were thorough with mine, already had the hpi report done as a matter of course, worth checking though.

I guess you mean the 1997/R reg one on the Adrian Blyth site.?

It's definitely worth you taking a good look at this one as it's been on their web site for months.

I enquired about this very same TVR back at the end of August, and ended up going for a '99 model in the end from someone else.

I didn't actually make the trip to see it, but I thought you should know the form.

I bought my first Chimaera off Adrian back in Oct 2001, and he and the car were great, so I'm sure it's fine, but worth wondering in the back of your mind why it's been there for so long.

PS. Perhaps 4 months isn't a long time for a dealer.!!!

Already been HPI'd - certificate will be handed over at delivery. It is one we've previously supplied.

Yep, the cars been with us a few months, originally priced at £16950 then £15950 and now £14950 - duration and price amendments reflect this years difficult market.

Hey no offense intended and see you have backed up my point about what a good service AB offer.

Hello, Darrell

Yes i did buy it, needed a few minor things doing
