I believe these engines were developed for the S series for export to Italy where cars over 2 litre carried a huge tax levy?
A large "lump" had to be added to the bonnet to clear the supercharger, this lump was retained (but obviously not required) for all
V8 S's
A few years ago a group of us (S owners) set off to Italy to meet the owner of one of these cars, he never showed but the legendary S Club EuroTour was born !
