Does anyone have any idea on the outside diameter of the wishbone and diff bushes so I can make a puller thing please

Got a bag of Powerflex wishbone bushes here.
There are 3 components:
The PU bush
The thin steel sleeve that slides into the bush
The heavier steel cylinder the slides into the above sleeve. (this is what the wishbone bolt slides into)


O/D of polyurethane bush = 25.4 mm (ie = I/D of the wishbone bush mounting. In old money that's one inch.
O/D of the sleeve that fits into the bush = 18.1 mm (i.e. = the dia of the hole in the PU bush)
O/D of the steel cylinder that fits into the above sleeve = 16 mm
I/D of above steel cylinder = 11 mm i.e. = O/D of the wishbone bolt (to be pedantic this is really 7/16" UNF)

For what it's worth I've never had any success pressing out old bushes. The force of pressing the bush seems to squish out the bush so it holds on tighter to the inside wall of the wishbone. Perhaps I'm using a wrong technique but I've always had to resort to the hacksaw and drift method.

hacksaw m8, if there the original ones they are well stuck in there forever and a day. hacksaw through wall of bush then drift them out.

You mean something like this?



Make sure you get some "10 grade" threaded rod and keep it well greased. Don't be afraid to clout the end cap, that's what it's designed for

Anything less than 10 grade will strip the threads The trick is to tighten it a little then clout the cap.
