Anyone got a known working 5AM I can borrow?
Discussion
I'm halfway there with bits for my MS upgrade, but a recent multifuel stove install has polished off all my spare cash, so I would like to try and resolve the current longterm trim issues on my Chim running 14CUX.
I read on another thread that somebody replaced their AFM and it resolved the issue? The strange thing is, that when I was putting the car together a couple of months ago, the longterm trim started to work okay. Now it is back to -100% and running rich. I thought it may have been a loose connection to the lambda heater circuit, so I tried changing the relays and pushing in the wiring in the footwell, but no change. Perhaps a different AFM may resolve the issue or at least rule it out. Has anybody got a known working one they could loan me?
Cheers

Its worth just unplugging the AFM, then checking the long term trim is back to zero. Then let it idle on a hot engine for about 3 mins and see if it goes to maximum again. Check the AFM reading at idle for your engine size with Rovergauge- if its out it will be quite obvious. I think from memory a 5ltr is 35%

Do you mean unplug it whilst the engine is running?Chuffmeister said:

Interesting mod. I've never heard of anyone doing that. Weight will be a bit of an issue, and I think it's going to get incredibly hot in the car. Are you routing the flue out of the passenger window, or cutting a hole in the targa roof?Dr Mike Oxgreen said:
