V8 engine wanted

I`m after ether a 4l or 4.5 to replace a bog standard v8 3.5 engine . What bhp and torque does the 3.5 in standard form have ?

It`s a car i`m buying a mess with over winter .

Its linked up to a three speed Auto BMW e32 unit. Never heard of that !

I think I read somewhere that auto was an option on some wedges it stuck in my mind as the wife has an auto only license.

The Range Rover used a ZF auto from 1985 this could be your bmw? Box?

It depends on the weight of the car Daz... what is it? They have around 150 bhp...

I`m looking at a right hand drive Opel GT with a targa roof fitted with a 3.5 Rover v8 .. odd engine choice ,something like a tuned 4 pot twin cam would of been more in keeping .

It`s like a mini Yank car ,I owned two Opel Manta A`s years go ,very similar in shape and the same back light configuration.

Not sure i dare suggest buying another car at the moment
Haven't even mentioned a certain track day on 2nd December

Is this another how long is a piece of string question Daz?

A 3.5 ltr could be 120 bhp or 320 bhp it comes down to spec.
Where was the engine from originally? Is it carb or injected? We need more info please

3.5 I reckon 130 on carbs and about 150 on EFI forget the 190 claimed nonsense on the EFI

Interesting it a 3speed auto with a 6 speed open gate on top of the transmission tunnel.
