Insurance time again!

Its that time of year again, I have received my renewal quote from Mannings but have received a much better one from Classic line.
Is there anyone else I should be trying?

I am currently with Mannings and I have always found them very reasonable. This years's renewal was ludicrous. I tried all the ones listed in Sprint and Classicline were the best in terms of price.

The only reason for paying a premium on insurance is when you make a claim. I don't have experience of this but I question whether these classic car insureres are any better than the big boys when it comes to claiming - any one have any experience?

I insure 4 cars on a group insurance with Admiral, which includes:

• my 21 year old medical student (so car is insured for work, not just commuting) daughter, in a Clio with her 19 year old student sister as a named driver (as well as parents), (about £425)
• My Griff 500 is on the group policy with myself and my wife as named drivers, limited to 3,000 miles - (about £155 per year...!)
• 09 plate Discovery TDV6 (about £160)
• 07 plate Golf TDi (about £150)

I can't tell you what Admiral are like when it comes to a claim as I haven't done one but are they really going to be much worse than anyone else? Any experiences of Admiral vs. the rest?
